Forfar Farmington ran out 5-3 winners over Motherwell to remain SWPL2 leaders, with six of the goals coming in the last 20 minutes..
Cheryl Kilcoyne curled home from the edge of the box for Forfar and Nicola Davidson netted a penalty to make it 2-0 on 26 minutes.
Robyn Smith scored at the second attempt for the hosts’ third, with Kilcoyne bundling home Kayleigh Noble’s cross and Megan McCarthy lobbing the keeper from 25 yards to make it five for Forfar.
Motherwell staged a late rally, as Nicole Goodwin, Pamela Liddell and Stacey Cook all got on the scoresheet.
Hearts Hold Second
Hearts held onto second spot with a 2-0 defeat of Jeanfield, although Danielle McGinley spurned a couple of chances for the Swifts before the hosts scored.
Kara Kidd hit post for Hearts but Stacey Hutchison turned in Jenn Dodd’s free-kick on half-time.
Hearts doubled their lead when Ashley Carse combined with Kidd to find the far corner of the net.
Glasgow Girls Get One-Goal Win
Glasgow Girls got the only goal of the game at Buchan to stay in third position.
The decisive moment in a close game came on the hour mark with Samantha McPherson’s strike for Glasgow Girls.
EUHV Off The Mark
Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale registered their first points of the season, with a 3-0 defeat of East Fife.
Hannah Craig fired in the first goal on 11 minutes, Nichola Sturrock and Karen Hanson then scoring seconds apart approaching the interval.
With 15 minutes left, East Fife had Louise Kerr sent-off.
All SWPL 1 games were postponed due to Scotland U-19s being in Ireland for the UEFA Championship Elite Round this week.
