Lauren Hemp scored 7 minutes before the break and 4 minutes after the restart, Hannah Hampton made a save to deny Paulina Tomasiak an equaliser.
Annabelle Matysiak twice pulled off saves to keep out further efforts from Hemp but inbetween times on 68 minutes. Gabrielle Ravenscroft sealed victory with a second goal for the Young Lionesses.
In the other group game, Germany came from behind to beat Italy 3-1.
Sara Baldi opened the scoring on 39 minutes, only for Anna-Lena Stolze to level in first half stoppage-time.
Stolze then scored again with 10 minutes remaining and Nicole Anyomi netted a late third.
England are back at AFC Telford United at 2pm on Monday (27th March) to face Germany, while at the same time Italy play Poland at Hednesford Town FC.
