Gillingham Crush Aylesford In Kent Cup Final

Jenny Newman soon opened the scoring for the Gills at Maidstone United FC, Charlotte Gurr and a Vanisha Patel volley took the score to 3-0, with Newman then netting again before the break.

April Bowers got on the scoresheet before Fliss Gibbons scored all the next three in the space of only 6 minutes,

Kallie Balfour’s brace made it 10-0, Bowers and Gurr then getting a second goal each.

Hat-trick were then completed by Newman, Balfour, Gurr and Bowers, with Gibbons grabbing her fourth.

It proved to be an impossible task for Aylesford, with Gillingham in great form this season and looking like gaining promotion back to the Premier League Southern Division.

Despite the size of the defeat, Aylesford tweeted: Not the result we wanted but a great effort from our girls. Proud of every member of our squad!
