Their eleventh victory in fifteen league games put them five points clear of Whitchurch but it was Lichfield City’s loss to Ellesmere Rangers which combined to confirm their first silverware.
There might soon be a second trophy though, as they are in the Division 2 Cup Final on Saturday 22nd April, when they meet Ellesmere at Stafford Town FC, kick-off 7.30pm.
The same venue then hosts the Division 1 Cup Final the next afternoon, when Abbey Hulton neet Norton Athletic at 2pm.
The Division 1 title all but belongs to Goldenhill Wanderers, who only need a point fro four games to make sure. They are also in the Challenge Cup semi-final with Burton Albion Reserves on 16th April, being played at Old Milton United FC.
