Ahead of tonight’s clash between England and Wales, Russia claimed their first win in the group at the third attempt by hitting Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-1 away. However, an own-goal by goalkeeper Elvira Todua gave the hosts a fifth-minute lead, before Elena Danilova and Maria Galay struck to send Russia in 2-1 up at half-time. Elena Morozova converted a penalty and Nadezhda Smirnova scored either side of a second for Danilova.
