Their second successive promotion was won in emphatic style, with a double-figure victory over Writtle-based Silver End, who are fourth in the table but were only able to field nine players on the day.
There were just two goals in the first half though, the first an own-goal from a Charlotte Gillies cross, followed up by a Sarah Mosley effort.
The floodgates opened in the second half with braces by Carla Penny and Philippa Witherspoon, while Mosley doubled her tally, Gillies, Stacey Fullicks and Robyn Phillips also getting on the scoresheet.
The Lilywhites still have more silverware to play for, as they face Eastern Premier title-chasing Haringey Borough in the League Cup Final and this Thursday (13th April) they are up against local rivals Cambridge United in the Cambridgeshire Senior Cup Final at Histon FC.
Tomorrow evening, the clubs’ respective Development and Reserve sides clash in the Junior Cup Final at Ely City FC, with City already champions of the S-Tech County League Championship South.
