Glasgow City and Hibernian kept up their 100% starts in the Scottish Building Society SWPL 1, while Stirling University frustrated Celtic and Rangers won at Spartans.

Back to back wins for City & Hibs
Glasgow City made it two wins from two but only with a single-goal victory over Hamilton Academical. Abbi Grant scored on 13 minutes, her shot from the edge of the box beating Lauren Grant in the Accies’ goal.
Hibernian are also on maximum points following their 2-0 win at Forfar Farmington. Amy Gallacher broke the deadlock in the 54th minutes and victory was not confirmed until Katey Turner doubled the lead 2 minutes from time.
Celtic dropped their first points, as visitors Stirling University defended with determination to get off the mark with a 1-1 draw. Both goals came in the opening 5 minutes, with Katey Morris netting for the students and Heather Richards equalising with a deflected free kick.
Rangers also got going with a 2-1 success at Spartans, where Carla Boyce put them ahead approaching half-time. Michelle Russell lobbed Spartans level but Chelsie Watson converted an 81st-minute penalty for Rangers.
Mulvey hits six
Motherwell have SWPL 2’s only perfect record left, having thrashed Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale 8-0. Suzanne Mulvey was dominant with a double hat-trick, while Sammy Hare and Kerry Montgomery also got on the score-sheet.
Hearts are second after a 2-0 win against Glasgow Girls, scoring twice shortly before the break. Danni Pagliarulo netted from the spot on 43 minutes and Sharon Lee got the second soon after.
Kilmarnock moved level on points with Central Girls Academy, whom they beat 2-1 away. Killie were one up on 24 minutes and although Central replied at the start of the second half, Chloe Ponton’s free kick won it for home team.
St Johnstone did likewise with a 2-0 score at Aberdeen, Hannah Clark’s first-half effort added to by Ellie-May Cowie.
