Douglas devastates Bees
An amazing spell of six goals in a ten-minute spell by Chelsea’s Nicole Douglas led to an 11-1 thrashing of London Bees.
Douglas only opened the scoring at the end of the first half and got a second in stoppage time.
She followed that up with a crazy four goals in as many minutes to make it 6-0 with 50 minutes played.
Douglas netted her seventh in-between efforts from Charlotte Fleming and Maddison Phillips, with Olivia Smith rounding off the Blues’ goals with a late brace.
Moore at the double for Royals
Reading were level at the break with Millwall Lionesses but scored two second-half goals to go through 3-1 against the leaders of the Southern Division.
Brogan Moore scored for the Royals 7 minutes short of the interval, Kate Wiseman had them ahead on the hour mark and Moore doubled her tally in the 73rd minute.
Hayles hits two for Blues
Birmingham City took some time to make the breakthrough, before going on to beat second-placed Northern Division visitors Sheffield FC 3-0.
Heidi Logan broke the deadlock for Birmingham City on 62 minutes, Shania Hayles soon added the second and scored again herself late on.
Man City make semis
Top Northern Division side, Manchester City were 3-0 winners at home to Liverpool on Friday evening.
The Reds went out in the semi-finals last season but it’s the Cityzens who now have a chance to reach the final.
