There was a thrilling finish to last night’s Southern Counties Cup fixture between the Royal Navy and Middlesex FA, four goals in the last 15 minutes producing a 3-3 draw.

Either end of the ground at HMS Temeraire had seen a goal in the first 25 minutes, the teams going in 1-1 at the break, with Nadina Green on target for the hosts.

Middlesex scored their second with a quarter of an hour to go but Green did likewise 3 minutes later.

The visitors were ahead again down to the final 8 minutes but the Navy pulled level once more, Katie Shorter earning a point in dramatic fashion with the last kick of the game.

Chloe Sampson earlier scored twice on her Middlesex debut and Ashley Cheatley got the visitors’ other goal.
