While Hope Powell’s Brighton test themselves against WSL leaders Manchester City, there are three all-top flight ties.
Reading host 2016-17 beaten finalists Birmingham City whom they trail by a single point in the league and against whom they drew 2-2 back in October. Bristol City are away to Everton whom they defeated 2-1 at the start of the year, while struggling Yeovil Town welcome Arsenal to the changed venue of Weston Super Mare FC.
WSL sides are paired in four other ties featuring London Bees’ massive game with Chelsea, whom they have stunned once before in cup competition. Spurs play WSL 2 leaders Doncaster who defeated them 4-1 in the league, Durham have Sheffield FC with each side having emerged winners by four-goal margins in meetings this term, while lowly Watford face a difficult trip to Liverpool, who are another with a different venue to usual – Walton Hall Park.
FAWPL Northern leaders Middlesbrough have a chance to test their WSL on-field credentials away to Aston Villa, who are one off the bottom of the league.
Coventry United have a similar challenge at Millwall Lionesses who are unbeaten in WSL 2, with Cardiff City Ladies having the benefit of home advantage against Oxford United.
Sunderland entertain one of four Premier League Division 1 clubs still left, after Brighouse Town stunned Derby County last Sunday with two late goals for a 3-2 victory.
At least four FAWPL sides will progress to the fifth round, with Division 1 sides playing top flight opposition in three cases.
Plymouth Argyle look to beat a fifth such side in cup competition this season when welcoming Leicester City WFC, with this tie moved to the Devon FA’s Coach Road HQ and kick off brought forward now to 1.30pm.
There’s a clash of the league’s heavyweights in Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic, while Keynsham Town tackle Lewes and TNS hope to extend their record run in the cup when entertaining Chichester City in a noon start.
