Baggies Go Fifth
With one game to go each, West Brom are up to fifth and Derby County are level on points with sixth-placed Fylde, following their 2-2 Northern Division draw last night, played at Derby University.
The Rams led at the break after Melissa Johnson raced through to go one and one with keeper Bec Thomas and slot home, with Maria Wayne doubling the lead from close-range midway through the second half.
Abi Cottam fired Albion back into the game from 20 yards and with 7 minutes left, Olivia Mitcham headed home a Kelly Darby free-kick for the equaliser.
Radcliffe Run In Five
Redcliffe Olympic put five goals past Loughborough Students to go fifth on goal-difference in Midlands Division 1.
While Radcliffe can still achieve a fourth-placed finish from their one remaining fixture, relegated Lougborough have two games left from which to register their first win of the season.
MK Dons Seal Second
Milton Keynes Dons marked their match at Stadium MK by defeating Cambridge United 4-1 and sealing the South East Division 1 runners-up spot.
Hannah Barrett fired the hosts ahead from outside the area and Amelia Hazard hit the second, before Evie Gallop replied for the U’s with a powerful strike from distance on 34 minutes.
Barrett got her second on 67 minutes and Charly Wright curled a free-kick into the net to complete the scoring.
The Dons played the last 5 minutes a player down, as Anna Loftus was sent-off when tempers flared, with United also receiving two cautions.
Cambridge’s Sarah Wiltshire then had a goal runed out for offside in added time.
Argyle Rout Robins
Cheltenham Town’s campaign ended with a 17-0 thrashing ‘away’ at Plymouth Argyle, played at Street FC in Somerset.
The Pilgrims were 5-0 up at half-time, with the Robins down to ten players with a straight red card for Jade Wiltshire’s handball, which led to Tash Knapman making it 3-0 from the spot.
Tori Marks top-scored with a four-goal haul, Amber Pollock got three, there were braces for Knapman, Danni Barr and Kayleigh Brown, plus singles from Becky Atkins, Zoe Cunningham, Rachel Javan and Katie Middleton.
