City Stay At Summit
Glasgow City held onto top spot in SWPL 1 after a 3-0 result at Rangers.
Although it took Hayley Lauder just seconds to shoot into the top corner, that was the only goal of the half.
City also struck early in the second half, Sam Kerr finishing well on 50 minutes after good play by Noelle Murray.
On 62 minutes, Kerr got her second via a through-ball from Megan Foley.
Hibs Hit Four
Hibernian hit four at third-placed Spartans to stay on the tails of the reigning champions.
Hibs scored twice in the first 14 minutes, as Rachel McLauchlan’s cut-back was turned in by Rachel Small and then Lia Tweedie netted from the edge of the box.
Close to half-time, Kirsty Smith crossed for Lucy Graham to cushion a header into the net and after the break Amy Gallacher rounded off the scoring in style, by firing into the top corner.
Celtic Sink Dons
Celtic are third after sending basement side Aberdeen to a 6-1 defeat, setting them up nicely for a crucial home game with Hibs on Tuesday.
Ruesha Littlejohn scored the first off a Sarah Crilly cross and Suzanne Mulvey netted the second assisted by Courtney Whyte, before Hannah Stewart converted a penalty before the break for the Dons.
Littlejohn made it 3-1, with Sarah Ewens adding a coolly-finished couple of goals and Whyte scoring inbetween from a Georgie Rafferty corner.
Students Defeat Academics
Stirling University got the only goal against Hamilton Academical to rise to fifth place.
Just before half-time, Nicole Pullar and Jade Gallon cleverly combined and the latter found the net.
Katy Morris hit the inside of the post for Stirling, while the Accies later clipped the crossbar as they battled hard for an equaliser.
Forfar Go Four Points Clear
Forfar Farmington extended their lead in SWPL 2 with a 4-0 win at Buchan, while Hearts lost. Julia Scott, Laura Parsley, Robyn Smith and Kayleigh Noble got a goal each.
Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale enjoyed a good but tense 1-0 victory over Hearts, in which Beth Macleod’s half-volley beat three players to find the net in the 83rd minute.
Glasgow Girls climbed to second with a 3-0 win at Jeanfield Swifts.
East Fife earned their fourth point of the campaign. as they and Motherwell both drew for the first time.
