Newry City sent Crusaders to a 4-0 defeat to hold onto the league’s top spot. Celine Curtis led the way with an early goal in either half.
Linfield stay a point behind the leaders with a game in hand, after they avenged their recent cup defeat to Sion Swifts, by thrashing them 5-0 at home. Alison Smyth’s treble did much to secure thr victory, with Kirsty McGuinness and Lauren Robson also getting on the scoresheet.
Cliftonville went level on points with mid-table Sion Swifts, as they inflicted a seventh successive loss on Ballymena. Marissa Callaghan put the visitors one up at the Showgrounds, with the All Stars replying before the break through Rebecca Boyce. Billie Simpson then hit the winner for Cliftonville in the second half.
