Thorpe’s penultimate league fixture was away at Brandon Town on Sunday and although Rebekah Lake and Shanice Sutton have scored virtually half United’s goals, neither could find the net on the day.
Instead, Vivian Moyo got the only goal of the game in the second half at fourth-placed Brandon.
It was Thorpe’s seventeenth victory in their twenty matches to date, in which they have averaged exactly four goals per game.
Their campaign also saw them with the runners-up medals from the League Cup Final a fortnight previously, when they lost 2-1 to Bungay Town, who themselves have since had to settle for second spot in the 1st Division.
