Dundee Leapfrog Inverness

Dundee United replaced Inverness City at the top of Scottish League Division 1 North after defeating them 4-0 on Sunday 4th June. Megan Robb, Tammy Harkin, Stacey McFadyen and Fiona Mearns got a goal each.

Granite City are second on goal-difference following a 2-0 local derby victory over Aberdeen U-23s.

Dunfermline drew for the fourth time when held 2-2 by Stirling University Development. Kerry Walker and Morgan Steedman both scored early on for Athletic but the students hit back with two second-half goals.

Falkirk FC recorded their third win with a 2-1 result over next to bottom Westdyke Dee Vale.

Hibs Takover From Killie

Hibernian Development are the new leaders in Division 1 South, after they won 3-1 at Celtic Academy, Caitlin Russell bagging a brace and Nicole Rutherford the other goal. Hibs overtook Kilmarnock, who went down 3-1 at Queens Park – only the hosts second win of the campaign.

Thistle Weir held third spot with a 3-1 win at Boroughmuir, Cumbernauld held fourth position despite a 2-2 tie at Westerlands.

Renfrew rose to fifth thanks to a 2-0 scoreline over basement side Hearts Development, with an own goal added to by Sammy Jo Smith.

Bayside Warm Up For Wednesday Final

Airdrie cut non-playing Blackburn United’s lead in Division 2 Central to 3 points when sending Linlithgow Rose to a 3-0 reverse. Blackburn meet Bayside in the Division 2 Cup Final at Ainslie Park tonight.

Division 2 East leaders Raith Rovers saw off Hutchison Vale Development 5-1, while Bayside kept up the pressure with a 7-1 thrashing of Seton.

Deveronvale opened up a four-point lead in Division 2 South with a 17-0 walloping of Buckie, as second-placed Buchan Youth slipped to a 3-2 loss at Turriff United.

Unbeaten Morton took the opportunity to go top of Division 2 West, scoring the game’s only goal at Kilmarnock U-23s.
