Conti Cup Kicks Off

The FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup gets underway this midweek with the first batch of group games, including a North East derby at Durham and debutants Spurs at home to top flight Bristol City.

Wednesday 11th October

GROUP 1 NORTH – Liverpool v Sheffield FC (Select Security Stadium, 7pm)
GROUP 2 NORTH – Birmingham City v Oxford United (Solihull Moors FC, 7.45)
GROUP 2 SOUTH – Brighton & Hove Albion v Yeovil Town (Culver Road, 7.45)

Thursday 12th October
GROUP 1 NORTH – Durham v Sunderland (Durham City FC, 7.30)
GROUP 1 SOUTH – Arsenal v London Bees (Boreham Wood FC, 7.30)
Watford v Millwall Lionesses (Kings Langley FC, 7.45)
GROUP 2 NORTH – Doncaster Rovers Belles v Everton (Doncaster Rovers FC, 7.30)
GROUP 2 SOUTH – Tottenham Hotspur v Bristol City (Cheshunt FC, 7.45)

Liverpool and WSL 2 side Sheffield FC get the competition going on Wednesday evening.

The same night, 2016 runners-up Birmingham face an Oxford side who are going well in the lower division and there’s an all top flight clash between Brighton and Yeovil.

Thursday brings Durham up against local rivals Sunderland, with both sides sitting third in their respective tables.

Doncaster Rovers Belles are unbeaten as they entertain Everton at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The other three games are all in the Hertfordshire area, as Arsenal look to get back to winning ways against London Bees, Spurs tackle Bristol City and Watford welcome Millwall, whom they lost 3-1 away to in the league last month.
