SWFL 1 North – Granite City Go Second

Dundee United stay top after defeating hosts Stirling University Development 3-1, despite Fiona Mearns opener being cancelled out by Gemma Mason. Tammy Harkin and Megan Robb then netted to seal the win for the visitors.

Granite City came from behind to win 3-2 at Forfar Farmington U-23s, to go second on goal-difference. Vicki Elder got on the scoresheet before rushing off to work at half-time, then Francesca Ogilvie struck twice for the Aberdeen-based side.

Central Girls FA Wasps maintained their promotion push in SWFL 1 North, with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Inverness City, where a late Morgan Cross header banked the 3 points.

Dunfermline were 3-1 winners at Aberdeen U-23s, where Sarah Gibson, Morgan Steedman and Hannah Colyer scored for Athletic, the latter in her last game before heading to the USA.

Tayside got their first win as they hit six at Westdyke Dee Vale, where Cara Black and Ellie Scanlan bagged a brace each, Aimee Sturrock and Lotte Deubel one apiece.

Falkirk FC scored three second-half goals in their victory over Dee Ladies, a Shivohn Honeyman double including a penalty, with Cari Johnston getting the third.

1 South – Top Two Hit Five

Hibernian Development’s 5-0 success over Thistle Weir came thanks to double from Hannah Preston and Nicole Rutherford, plus a single by Kirsty Morrison.

Clare Docherty scored seconds after the start and moments before the break, as Kilmarnock hit five at Boroughmuir Thistle, where Kirsty Munro, Kirsten Rolph and Nicole Telford also scored.

Cumbernauld Colts got the only goal in the game with Rangers Development, as Melissa Porter headed home from a corner kick just before the hour mark..

Renfrew twice went behind to Westerlands but goals from Emma Baird and Jane Murphy saw them edge the game 3-2, while Celtic Academy thumped Hearts Development 8-0.

2 Central – Blackburn Bounce Back

Leaders Blackburn United bounced back from their midweek League Cup final loss to win 6-3 at Motherwell Development, while second-placed Airdrie ran in 13 goals past Broxburn Athletic Colts.

Glasgow Girls Development got eight at Murieston, with hat-tricks for Rochelle Green and Kirsten Treanor.

Linlithgow Rose and Stenhousemuir both hit six against Hawick United and East Kilbride respectively, while Haimlton Development won 4-2 at their Cumbernauld counterparts.

2 East – Raith Run In Fifteen

Raith Rovers were the day’s top scorers throughout the league with a 15-1 result at Seton, Dundee City were a close second after their 13-2 at Letham, with Bayside – buoyed by winning the cup last time out – posting a 7-1 scoreline over Spartans Development.

Edinburgh Caledonia coasted to an 8-1 derby win over Edinburgh South, elsewhere Forfar Farmington won 4-2 at East Fife Violets, as did Montrose at Hutchison Vale Development.

2 North – Deveronvale Defeat Title Rivals

Deveronvale extended their lead by edging Buchan Youth 3-2 in the top of the table clash. Ross County turned over Turriff United 6-1 although they went behind before Jasmine Noble and Danielle Douglas featured with two goals each, while Stonehaven sank Buckie 7-0.

2 West – Morton Stay Unbeaten

Morton held pole position with a result at home to Queen of the South, Dumbarton United defeated Westerlands ‘B’ by a dozen goals to keep up the pressure, including four from Michaela Brown and three by Marie McGuinness.

Bishopton beat Kilmarnock U-23s 3-2, Rutherglen had a similar scoreline at Stranraer and Kilwinning scored both goals at United Glasgow.
