Glasgow City kept a five-point lead over Hibernian ahead of midweek fixtures, when City travel to Kazakhstan for a Champions League tie and Hibs play their game in hand at home to Celtic.

City stay five in front
Glasgow City kept a five-point lead at the top of SWPL 1 with a 2-0 defeat of Rangers.
It was 54 minutes before Megan Foley opened the scoring for City with a fine strike.
Eight minutes later the lead was doubled, Nic Docherty struck a powerful effort past goalkeeper Jordyn Elliot.
City had Savannah McCarthy sent off with 17 minutes to go but it was the hosts who came closest to scoring after that, Katie McCabe hitting the bar.
Turner brace aids Hibs win
Ahead of their game in hand over the leaders on Wednesday – at home to Celtic – Hibernian put four goals past Hamilton.
The only goal of the first period came 9 minutes in, as Kim Cornet’s shot ricocheted off the post and Amy Gallacher slotted home the rebound.
Two goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half sealed the win, with Katey Turner firing home off an Abi Harrison ball and Emma Brownlie’s cross from the byline turned in by Shannon Leishman.
Turner then scored her second of the afternoon when getting on the end of Brownlie’s cross.
Celtic hit Dins for six
Celtic set themselves up for that clash by hitting basement side Aberdeen for six, Sarah Ewens featuring with a hat-tick.
A poor clearance saw Ruesha Littlejohn round the keeper to score the first goal and from a Cheryl McCulloch knock down, Ewens finish into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.
Aberdeen were denied a goal back by the bar before Jamie-Lee Napier’s cross was met by Kirsty Howat to make it 3-0 by half-time.
When the Dons’ keeper parried a Courtney Whyte header, Nicole Ross was on hand to make it 4-0.
Ewens turned home a cross from Heather Richards and then completed her treble with over 20 minutes remaining.
Stirling fight back to hold Spartans
Fourth-placed Stirling University stay ahead of Spartans by virtue of goals scored, the pair finishing all square at 2-2 after the visitors led 2-0 at the break.
Spartans scored twice in a three-minute spell after the half-hour through Laura Gavin and a Rachel Walkingshaw shot from the edge of the box into the roof od the net.
They might have had a third by half-time, but for Chloe Logan denying Alana Marshall.
Rachel Donaldson was gifted a goal back on 71 minutes by a defensive mix-up and it was her 82nd-minute corner that Jade Gallon headed in for the equaliser.
Stirling still had to survive some nervy late pressure as it took three players to clear the ball off their goal-line.
Forfar go nine points clear
Forfar stretched their lead in SWPL 2 to nine points following a 7-1 thrashing of bottom of the table Buchan. Danni McGinley got one in each half, as did Caroline Heron, with one each from a Julia Scott free-kick and Megan McCarthy, plus an own-goal off a Cheryl Kilcoyne cross.
Motherwell in second fell to a 4-2 defeat at Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale, who rise to fifth. EUHV took the lead in the 17th minute through Jude Shepherd and although Motherwell soon levelled, Anna Hume struck back to give Vale an interval lead. It was 2-2 in the 64th minute but goals from Nichola Sturrock and Hume ‘s settled the score.
Glasgow Girls are six points in front of Jeanfield Swifts after they beat them by the odd goal in three. Charmaine McGuire’s opener was replied to on 19 minutes but Georgie McTear’s goal 4 minutes before the break was then enough to take maximum points.
East Fife’s upturn in form saw them secure back to back victories with a 2-1 scoreline against Hearts, who had led at the halfway point through Michelle Stewart.
