Abergavenny and Cardiff City FC made it back to back wins in the Orchard Welsh Premier League, while Swansea City began their title defence with a 4-0 defeat of newcomers Caldicot Town.

High fives for Abergavenny
Abergavenny ran out 5-1 winners at Rhyl, where Maxine Mudge scored twice and Amy Thrupp the other in the 10 minutes leading up to the interval.
Gabi Hughes made it 4-0 before Rebecca Bannister came off the bench to reply from 25 yards, only for Lauren Boyd to soon get the visitors’ fifth.
Cardiff City second
Cardiff City FC netted three times without reply at Llandudno. There was only one goal in it at half-time but the capital side added two more to make sure of victory.
Second-half sees Caldicot submit to Swans
Swansea City’s delayed start to the campaign saw them put four past Caldicot Town.
The newcomers held out until after the restart but Stacey John-Davis turned in a cross from Katy Hosford to open the scoring.
Jodie Passmore struck home from inside the box to make it 2-0, Emma Beynon got the third and Hosford rounded off the goals on 73 minutes.
Archers advantage proves enough
Cardiff Met also made a winning opening to their season, 3-2 away at Port Talbot Town, having led 3-0.
Rebecca Mathias put the students 1-0 up on 11 minutes, with Naomi CIipston finishing off a good move for the second inside the half-hour.
Clipston doubled her tally with a long range effort in the 56th minute, with the hosts then pulling two goals back in the last quarter of an hour.
Cyncoed travel well
Cyncoed banked their first points with a 3-1 success at Caernarfon Town, who were left disappointed to not have taken something from their first home game.
The Cardiff-based were rewarded for their long journey by scoring through Athina Varnava, Fern Burrage and Jess Wiliams.
