USA international Emily Fox returns to the Arsenal starting line-up for their Women’s Super League match against Chelsea.

Fox was substituted in the first half of the Gunners’ Women’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Aston Villa last Sunday after what looked like a neck issue, and missed the Subway Women’s League Cup semi-final against Manchester United in midweek.

But she is back for the important league clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

Kim Little also returns, reclaiming the captain’s armband from Lotte Wubben-Moy, who wore it in midweek.

The Gunners are without Olivia Smith, who was sent off against United for a second yellow card.

Stina Blackstenius and Caitlin Foord are both named from the start rather than from the substitutes’ bench.

Frida Maanum is not in the squad after reporting illness.

Sonia Bompastor names a strong Chelsea side, with Wieke Kaptein in place of Sjoeke Nusken the only change from the starting eleven in midweek against Manchester City in the other League Cup semi-final.

Sam Kerr and Alyssa Thompson join up once more in the front line.
