AS Roma women have made their first signing of the January window, with Frøya Dorsin joining the Italian club on a season-long loan from PSG.
Dorsin is a 19-year-old striker who is expected to have a big career in the future.
Who is Roma loanee Frøya Dorsin
Roma’s teenager is one of the highest rated youngsters in European football right now.
Frøya Dorsin started her career in Norway at just 15-years-old as she enjoyed a breakout year in 2022.
For Rosenborg the teenager racked up 28 appearances, before earning her big move to one of Europe’s top leagues.
Dorsin signed for PSG in summer of 2024. In 16 appearances for the Parisians, the Norwegian scored two goals and picked up one assist.
Speaking on her move, Dorsin said: “This loan spell at AS Roma is an excellent chance for me to continue my development in a new league and a new country, and I’m delighted to be taking up this challenge.”

Dorsin has already broken into the Norway international setup. The striker has featured for various different age groups in Norway’s youth system, with her biggest achievement coming in 2024 when she captained the under 17’s.
The Roma loanee currently represents Norway for the under-23 team.
Why did Dorsin leave PSG?
The move of Dorsin was expected this week, especially with the transfer rumours coming out of Paris.
PSG have reported interest in signing Everton striker Kelly Gago. The forward is keen on a move back to France and she handed in a transfer request to force her way out of the WSL club.
It seems Gago is destined to return to France in the January window and her move would have reduced Dorsin’s already limited game time.
Leaving Paris right now is certainly not a bad idea, especially with the way the club is moving this season.
PSG were recently handed a nine-point deduction in the Premiere Ligue – something they were left furious at this week.
The French side are now fifth in the league and are already out of Europe after a disastrous campaign.
