Delphine Cascarino is reportedly on the verge of leaving the San Diego Wave to join Women’s Super League side London City Lionesses.
The 28-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the National Women’s Soccer League side, after spending her entire career before then with Michele Kang’s Lyon.
L’Equipe have now reported that Cascarino could reunite with Kang at London City.
Delphine Cascarino on verge of joining London City Lionesses
The French publication report that Cascarino, who turns 29 at the beginning of February, is about to sign with the London City Lionesses.
It would mark the Lionesses’ first signing of the January transfer window, after they were previously the most active club during the summer window.
Cascarino would also join her twin sister Estelle in London. Her sister joined West Ham on loan from Italian giants Juventus.
Should Delphine join London City, she will be hoping to avoid the same drama her twin sister endured.
Estelle was denied her Hammers debut, as she was wearing an earring that she was unable to remove.

Delphine Cascarino’s career so far
Cascarino is an established name in European football thanks to her success with Lyon.
She first broke into Lyon’s senior team during the 2014-15 season and won nine league titles and six Champions League trophies with the French giants.
In that time, Cascarino scored 31 goals in 204 appearances for Lyon.
She then made the switch to San Diego Wave in the summer of 2024, where she netted seven goals in 38 appearances.
It appears as though she played her last game for the Wave during their NWSL quarter-finals playoff defeat to Portland Thorns in November.
Cascarino has also scored 16 goals in 86 appearances for the French national team. She received some rave reviews for her performances in the group stage of Euro 2025, providing an assist in the win over eventual champions England, before scoring a brace and providing another assist in their 5-2 win over the Netherlands.
What’s next for London City Lionesses?
London City Lionesses drew their first game under new head coach Eder Maestre against Liverpool at the weekend.
Maestre’s side next face Sunderland in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday. They then host WSL league leaders Manchester City on January 25th.
