Germany are preparing for their upcoming women’s Nations League final and they have been boosted by the return of four stars ahead of the game.
Germany’s returning stars
There are four players returning to the Germany squad for the international break.
Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Ena Mahmutovic (FC Bayern), Rebecca Knaak (Manchester City) and Sarai Linder (VfL Wolfsburg) all feature in the squad for the first time since the Euros.
All of the players coming back to the national team have struggled with injuries at the start of the year, but they are set to make their return to action at the end of November.
Speaking ahead of the break, Germany manager Christian Wück addressed the changes to his squad.
“We haven’t made any major changes from the semi-final games against France, apart from welcoming some players back. Our focus is now on two important games. It’s our first final for a long time and exactly the sort of thing you play football for.”

Germany won their Nations League semi-final against France to book a spot in next month’s final.
Who do Germany face in the Nations League final?
Germany will play two games during the international break.
Both of their games will be in the Nations League, with the final taking place over two legs.
The Germans will host Spain in the first match on Friday, November 28th before heading to Spain just five days later for the second leg.
While Germany have been flying in the Nations League, they are coming up against the top ranked team in the world.
“We’re playing against the best team in Europe right now,” said Wück. “It’s a big challenge, but something we’re looking forward to as a team and will be very well prepared for. We’re also looking forward to the support from the Germany fans, especially at the last home game of the year in Kaiserslauten.
“The fans’ support has been outstanding the whole year, whether it’s been at the EUROs in Switzerland or at our Nations League games. The support gives us a lot of energy, which is something we really want to take with us into these finals.”
Spain won the inaugural women’s Nations League last season and they are looking to become the first team to win back to back finals in the competition.
