England begin their Homecoming Tour on the back of winning Euro 2025 against Brazil on Saturday, and here SheKicks gives our predicted lineup with changes expected to the starting XI that beat Spain to win the European Championship.
England team news
Sarina Wiegman will be without Leah Williamson, Lauren Hemp and Lauren James for the Lionesses’ upcoming friendlies with Brazil and Argentina.
The trio who all started the Euro 2025 final have all been left out of Wiegman’s squad due to injuries.
James and Williamson are yet to feature at all for Chelsea and Arsenal this season, while Lauren Hemp suffered an ankle injury last month.
There have also been some changes to the 25-player squad that Wiegman initially announced for the upcoming fixtures.
Arsenal star Katie Reid initially withdrew from the squad alongside Manchester City’s Grace Clinton due to small injuries.
Liverpool defender Grace Fisk was then called up despite her side’s tough start to the Women’s Super League season.
Manchester United’s Jess Park was then pulled out of the side due to concussion symptoms. She was replaced by Tottenham’s Jessica Naz.
Another player who started the final but could be left out of the starting XI is Lucy Bronze.
Bronze, who played with a fractured leg at Euro 2025, has only recently returned to action and is yet to play 90 minutes for Chelsea.
Will Maya Le Tissier make the starting lineup for England against Brazil?
There are questions over whether Maya Le Tissier will start for England after her stunning start to the season for Manchester United.
SheKicks predicts that Le Tissier will start on Saturday. However, it won’t be at the centre-back position that she plays for the Red Devils.
Wiegman has made it frequently known that she sees Le Tissier as more of a right-back for the Lionesses.
This has led to some criticism towards the Lionesses manager from the likes of Ian Wright, as Le Tissier has arguably been the best centre-back in the Women’s Super League this season.
With Bronze yet to play 90 minutes since returning from injury, SheKicks predicts that Le Tissier will get the starting nod over the Chelsea right-back on Saturday.
Esme Morgan could slot in at the right-sided centre back position alongside Jess Carter, with Alex Greenwood starting at left-back.

Who replaces Lauren James and Lauren Hemp in attack?
Another big talking point is over who will replace James and Hemp who are on the sidelines.
Alessia Russo is almost guaranteed to start up front for the Lionesses and there is a strong chance that it will be an all-Arsenal attack.
SheKicks predicts that Chloe Kelly will start on the left wing, with Beth Mead on the right.
However, there is a strong argument for Aggie Beever-Jones to start after her excellent start for Chelsea.
Beever-Jones was named the WSL Player of the Month for September and can play across the front line. However, she has not been as high as Russo, Kelly and Mead in the pecking order for Wiegman.
So despite netting four goals so far this season, we predict Beever-Jones will be left on the bench but could make the starting XI against Australia.
