Liverpool have been disastrous to kick off the 2025/26 WSL campaign and with some tough fixtures ahead they could be stuck on 0 points heading into the new year.
The Reds lost to Manchester City during the weekend which marked their fifth consecutive loss of the league campaign.

However there will be no rest for Gareth Taylor’s side who face high-flying Tottenham on Sunday.
A tough fixture schedule could spell serious danger for the Reds, who look like they could head into the new year without a point in the league.
Brighton at home will be an important game for Liverpool next weekend as after they face the Seagulls it’s back to back trips against last season’s top two in Arsenal and Chelsea.
Following an impossibly difficult run up until December, the Reds then play what is looking likely to be a relegation grudge match against West Ham.
The Hammers are the only other team in the WSL to still be on no points this season after five games.
With the new WSL expansion coming into place from next year, only the bottom side in the top flight is at risk of relegation. The team that finishes last in the WSL will take on third place in WSL2 in a playoff for the right to play in the WSL.
Where is it all going wrong for Liverpool?
It is hard to pinpoint Liverpool’s exact problem this year, as they simply look out of their depth in the WSL.
The Reds have scored just three goals in five league games now and their troubles in front of goal are showing no sign of slowing down.
Cornelia Kapocs scored against City last weekend and admitted post-match that she thought her side deserved more out of the game.
With ten conceded so far this year Liverpool have the second worst goal difference in the league with only West Ham conceding more.
