Everton forward Inma Gabarro has signed a one-year contract extension with Everton, keeping her at the club until the end of June 2027.
The Spanish international has also joined former club Sevilla on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.
The 22-year-old joined Everton permanently from Sevilla in July 2024. However, her progress was quickly disrupted when she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in just her second match of the 2024-25 season.
With the support of Everton’s medical staff, Gabarro worked her way back to full fitness and returned to action during pre-season.
She marked her comeback by finding the net for Brian Sorensen’s side in a warm-up game with Fortuna Hjorring of Denmark.

Despite her recovery, Brian Sorenson confirmed before last week’s Merseyside Derby that Everton were considering a loan move for Inma Gabarro.
The head coach explained the step was intended to support her well-being and allow her to regain rhythm after a difficult year.
That move has now been finalised, with Gabarro set to return to familiar surroundings in Spain.

Sevilla also announced the agreement between the two clubs in a season-long loan. The forward, born in the Seville province of Espartinas on November 5th, 2002, will once again wear the red and white shirt after leaving the club last year to pursue her career in England.
Gabarro’s history with Sevilla runs deep. She first joined the club in the 2013/14 season, working her way through the youth ranks before making her senior debut in 2020-21 under Cristian Toro.
Over the course of her time with the first team, she scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists across 125 appearances. Her efforts helped Sevilla to two Andalusian Cup titles and also earned her a call-up to the Spain national side.
Her talent on the international stage was underlined at the 2022 U20 World Cup where she played a starring role in Spain’s triumph. Gabarro won the Golden Boot as the tournament’s top scorer and the Silver Ball as the second-best player overall.
What’s next for Gabarro?
For Sevilla, the loan signing represents the return of a player who grew up in their academy and left a significant mark before heading abroad.
With David Losada now in charge, Gabarro will look to give Sevilla an extra spark in attack while continuing to grow in a place she already knows well.
From Everton’s side, the new deal and loan show real belief in her ability and recognition of the challenges she has faced. The move gives her valuable minutes back in Spain while ensuring her future remains with the Blues.
Everton face Tottenham in the WSL this weekend, following their 4-1 win over Liverpool last week.
