Chelsea announce extension of partnership with EA Sports including women’s team for the first time

Chelsea’s record breaking women’s team will be recognised as equals in FC 26

Chelsea have announced that they will extend their partnership with EA Sports for an 18th year.

The renewal of the partnership is a special one as Chelsea women’s team will be included in the deal for the first time.

Chelsea renew long-standing partnership

EA Sports have been breaking ground in the last few years with women’s football included in their most popular game.

With the new Chelsea partnership, some of the Blues biggest superstars on the women’s stage will be recognised as equals.

While FC 26 will be very similar to the previous edition of the game, Chelsea’s 2024/25 unbeaten team will receive much more recognition than in previous titles.

Sonia Bompastor’s Chelsea side went unbeaten for the second time last year. Only three teams have ever gone a whole season without losing and Chelsea were the first to do it in a 22-game campaign.

As a result of their incredible campaign, Chelsea’s women are rightly getting recognised for their achievements.

What Chelsea and EA Sports had to say

Speaking about the renewed deal, Chelsea’s director of partnerships, Dan McEwan, said: “We are proud to continue this long-standing relationship with EA SPORTS FC as it enters its 18th year, and are excited to see it evolve in a way that supports the entire club and our diverse fanbase.”

James Taylor, director of partnerships at EA Sports, added“We’re excited to extend our long-standing partnership with Chelsea FC – a club that shines on the world stage across both the men’s and women’s game. With the men’s team crowned Club World Cup champions and the women’s team securing a historic treble, Chelsea continues to inspire.”
