
The group stage draw for the Women’s League Cup was made on Thursday, and below we have the full details, including when the tournament gets underway.
Manchester City to play Everton in Group A of Women’s League Cup
The group stage draw for the Women’s League Cup has pitted Manchester City in Group A alongside Women’s Super League rivals Everton.
WSL2 teams Nottingham Forest and Everton will also face City in the group stage.
Managerless Liverpool are in Group B with WSL2 teams Sheffield United, Sunderland Durham.
In Group E, there will be a Birmingham derby with Aston Villa and Birmingham City drawn in the same group, alongside Tottenham and Bristol City.

West Ham, who reached the semi-finals of last year’s League Cup, are in a five-team group alongside Brighton, Southampton, Charlton and Portsmouth.
WSL teams Leicester City and London City Lionesses are in Group D alongside Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace.
Women’s League Cup winners Chelsea will enter the tournament at the quarter-final stage due to their participation in the Champions League. Likewise, Arsenal and Manchester United will also enter the tournament in the last-eight.

When does the Women’s League Cup start?
Following Thursday’s draw, the group stage of the Women’s League Cup will commence on September 24th, 2025.
The group stage will run until November 23rd with the five group winners joining Champions League teams Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea in the quarter-finals.
The Women’s League Cup final will take place on Sunday, March 15th.
