Chelsea and Barcelona amongst clubs interested in signing Swedish starlet Felicia Schroder

One of Sweden’s brightest future stars could be on the move this summer, with some top clubs reportedly looking into signing Felicia Schroder.

Felicia Schroder is already considered to be one of the most impressive under-21’s in women’s football and she has attracted interest from across the globe.

The 18-year-old plays in the Swedish first division, OBOS Damallsvenskan, for BK Häcken.

In Sweden the league season begins in March, and there has only been ten games played so far in the 2025 campaign.

Through those ten games Schroder has certainly turned heads and the accomplished youngster has an impressive goal catalogue already, with 11 goals and five assists which are both team-highs.

With 17 goal contributions to her name so far in 860 minutes of action, Schroder is averaging a goal or assist every 50.5 minutes.

Schroder wasn’t selected for Sweden’s Euro 2025 squad this summer but there is certainly promise behind her international career and it would be surprising to see the young star not selected for the World Cup in 2027.

Who could sign Felicia Schroder?

There could be teams lining up to sign Schroder this summer, but regardless of interest from top clubs, the 18-year-old may decide to finish her campaign in Sweden before moving on from her home country for the first time.

Schroder’s contract with BK Häcken expires in December this year and the Swedish giants are looking to secure a new deal that would keep their biggest star at the club even if it is just for one more year.

With the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, Wolfsburg and Manchester City all pitching for Schroder’s signature, the teenager will have a tough decision to make soon.

Chelsea have already proved that they aren’t messing around in the transfer window this summer, signing two players already to boost their squad following a successful campaign that saw the Blues crowned WSL champions.

The league winners have already signed goalkeeper Livia Peng this summer, as well as 19-year-old German Mara Alber who has a very similar profile to Schroder.

With Chelsea putting their faith in youth, it would be no surprise to see Schroder sign for the Blues this year.

Barcelona could compete with anyone in the market though, and after being shocked by Arsenal in the Champions League final last year they will be keen to strengthen in every position.

Manchester City and Wolfsburg have significantly less pull than the other two interested teams, however there is no doubt that both remain possible destinations.
