Rangers won 1-0 at Motherwell to replace Glasgow City as ScottishPower Women’s Premier League leaders after the latter drew 0-0 at Hearts.

Hearts 0-0 Glasgow City
Partick Thistle 1-1 Spartans
Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Rangers lead the table by a point with Katie Wilkinson’s early headed goal from a Lizzie Arnot cross proved sufficient for victory at Motherwell. Wilkinson was denied a second by the crossbar, while Rangers had a late scare but Jenna Fife thwarted an attempt from Lucy Barclay.

Hearts are five points off the top after the goalless draw with Glasgow City, for whom Nicole Kozlova had the ball in the net only to be disallowed for an earlier handball. Celtic now have a game in hand on Hearts and sit just two points behind them.

The meeting of seventh-placed Partick Thistle and Spartans in eighth also ended all square. Hannah Jordan’s early goal for the visitors was cancelled out before the break by Carla Boyce, as the Jags recorded a third straight draw.
