2019 World Cup Qualifying Draw Today

Thirty-five nations will be split into five groups of seven with each group winner joining host nation France at the finals.

The four best runners-up will advance to the play-offs, which will consist of two rounds of two-legged knockout ties in October and November 2018.

Qualifying matches will be played home and away from 11 September 2017 to 4 September 2018.

The Lionesses, ranked fourth in the world, have been placed in Pot A alongside European champions Germany, 1995 World Cup winners Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland and Italy.

Mark Sampson led England to a third-place finish at Canada 2015, the second best finish by any Three Lions team at a World Cup.

England have not lost a World Cup qualifier since November 2002, when they slipped to a 1-0 defeat by France in the second leg of a play-off match.
