The Eastern Women’s Regional League had three Challenge Cup ties decided on penalties, two after dramatic late levellers.
EASTERN – Trio of shoot-outs
Three of the Challenge Cup group games went to penalties, including Haringey Borough and hosts Cambridge City, with the latter making it 4-4 at the death. City won 4-3 in the shoot-out to take two points, Borough collect one. St Ives Town shared six goals with Wymondham Town after a last-minute equaliser and then won 4-2 on spot kicks, Leigh Ramblers edged Bowers & Pitsea 4-3 after a goalless game. Wroxham were 4-1 winners at AFC Dunstable, Royston Town edged Stevenage Development 2-1, Luton Town sunk Colney Heath 7-1 and Bedford hit hosts Wodson Park for six.
EAST MIDLANDS – Lincoln score eight in derby game
Trevor Clifton Trophy – Lincoln United thrashed Lincoln Moorlands-Railway 8-0, with hat-tricks by Tracey Duxbury-Mead and Abigail Murrell. Chesterfield beat Oughtibridge 4-1, Mansfield Town put four past Arnold Eagles without reply, Rotherham United netted six at SJR Worksop. Ollerton Town and Sleaford Town ended goalless, as did the tie between Sherwood and Notts County Development

Spring Round Robin Groups – There were narrow wins for Parkwood Rangers over Victoire, with a Hayleigh Larkin goal, and Dartford at Eastbourne Town where Nicha Dyett got the only goal. Whyteleafe’s Chloe McNee claimed a treble in the 6-1 victory at Herne Bay, while results elsewhere were: Ashford 5-2 Aylesford, Saltdean United 1-3 Ashford Town (Middlesex), Crawley Wasps DS 3-1 Lewes Foundation, Hackney 0-3 Clapham United, Newhaven 5-0 Hassocks.
Capital Senior Cup – Dulwich Hamlet defeated hosts Fulham 2-1 with a Brittany Saylor winner, QPR went through 6-1 at Denham United.
SOUTHERN – Southampton Women’s win in stoppage-time
Subsidiary Cup – Abbey Rangers drew 1-1 with Woodley United and Ascot United put five goals past Abbey Rangers in Group A. Abingdon United ran out 14-0 winners at Tilehurst Panthers in Group B, Moneyfields won 3-0 at AFC Bournemouth Development in Group C. Southampton Women’s Reserves took the points 2-1 at Eastleigh after Emma Whitlock’s 94th-minute decider.
