Women’s pre-season friendly round-up

While Arsenal Women were beating Chelsea at the Emirates, there was a wide variety of friendly fixtures being played across the country.

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 in the first of The Mind Series matches. Katie McCabe’s opener was cancelled out by Reanna Blades but Freya Jupp got the winner eight minutes from time. But the victory was marred by an injury to Arsenal’s Jordan Nobbs, who was stretchered off.

Everton edged Rangers 2-1, with Rikke Sevecke having headed the Toffees in front from a Claire Emslie cross. Aand although Jane Ross replied for Rangers, Nicoline Sørensen fired into the far top corner to win it for the hosts.
