Women’s domestic crowd records broken in Brazil and France

Not only the Barclays FA Women’s Super League had a record-breaking crowd at the weekend, Brazil and France also saw highest ever domestic attendances.

The Groupama Stadium had 30,661 inside for the top of the table French League 1 clash between Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, Saki Kumagai got the only goal as Lyon went three points clear in the title race.

Meanwhile in Brazil, Corinthians hosted Sao Paulo in the local State Championship final second leg, with the majority of the 28,862 fans enjoying a 3-0 win on the day and 4-0 aggregate victory.
