West Ham United have completed the transfer of former Australian U-17 attacker Jacynta Galabadaarachchi from Perth Glory.

The 18-year-old told the Hammers’ website: “I have wanted to play in England since I was eight-years-old and, in joining West Ham United, my dream has finally come true.”

West Ham manager Matt Beard said. “She has got enormous potential, at 18-years-old, and I’m very excited by what she offers.

“I’ve seen a lot of young players, and I like working with and developing young players, and she is one of the best I have seen, in terms of ability.”

Galabadaarachchi, who has previously had spells training with WSL Academy sides, helped Melbourne City to the W-League title and Perth to the Grand Cup final.

She represented Australia at U-17 level and made the expanded senior training camp squad ahead of the 2017 Algarve Cup when still only aged 15.
