Charlton Athletic and Exeter City win through to complete line-up for the Vitality FA Women’s Cup Fourth Round.

Outstanding 3rd Round ties;

Gillingham 0-1 Charlton Athletic
Southampton Women’s FC 0-3 Exeter City

FA Women’s Championship side Charlton Athletic went through 1-0 away to Gillingham and will again visit FAWNL opposition when they play Plymouth Argyle in the Fourth Round at the end of January.

Emma Follis played in Hollie Olding to score via the crossbar five minutes before the break. That proved to be the only goal, although Olding was later denied by the bar and then by a flag for offside.

Exeter City booked a trip to Northern Premier side West Bromwich Albion, after they won the all-FAWNL Division 1 South West clash away to Southampton Women’s FC.

The Grecians got three goals in a 13-minute spell straddling the interval, Connie Pengelly bagged a brace and Sarah Stacey’s glancing header dipped in for 3-0.

Pengelly hit the post and although the hosts had chances to cut the deficit, Exeter made the fourth round for the first time in 20 years.
