Vitality Women’s FA Cup: London Bees, Oxford and Watford progress

Vitality Women's FA Cup 2nd Round Proper

London Bees, Oxford United and Watford completed the line up for the Vitality Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round next week.

Watford 6-0 Crawley Wasps (Att: 198)
Southampton Women’s 0-3 London Bees
Liskeard Athletic 0-13 Oxford United

Watford hit Crawley Wasps for six to set up a trip to Barclays Women’s Championship side Crystal Palace in the third round. It was just 1-0 at half-time though, after Helen Ward broke the deadlock from the spot for her 150th goal for the Hornets. Dré Georgiou, Flo Fyfe and Annie Rossiter added one each, before Ward got her second and Jo Wilson rounded off the scoring.

London Bees will be heading to Championship team Lewes, after seeing off Southampton Women’s. Nikita Whinnett headed a first-half goal from a free kick, Juliet Adebowale doubled the lead after the break and it was from her parried effort that Bolu Fisher got a late third.

South West League side Liskeard Athletic bowed out to a heavy defeat against FAWNL Southern Premier leaders Oxford United, who go on to host Plymouth Argyle. Carly Johns notched a hat-trick for the visitors, Leah Burridge and Sarah King with two each.
