Arsenal beat Coventry United 4-0 on Friday night to become the first team through to the Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-finals.

Jordan Nobbs had a shot cleared off the line after only 75 seconds but the Gunners took some time to go as close again.

Stina Blackstenius headed home from a Nikita Parris cross in the 38th minute, after which Grace Riglar headed wife from a Charlie Estcourt free kick for Coventry and Lucy Thomas made a good save in first-half added time to deny Nobbs.

Arsenal made sure of their place in the final four with three goals in 18 second-half minutes, Beth Mead getting the first of those just before the hour mark with her first touch since coming off the bench,

Parris turned in a Katie McCabe cross for 3-0 and Vivianne Miedema rounded off the scoring with a low drive from outside the box.

The draw for the semi-finals will be made on Monday 21 March, live on BBC News channel during the Sportsday show from 6.30pm.
