Arsenal beat HB Køge to move a step closer to the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals, while Barcelona are the first side through.

Group D: Häcken 1-2 Benfica, Bayern Münich 1-0 Lyon
Arsenal were ahead against their Danish visitors inside 20 minutes when Caitlin Foord turned in a Beth Mead cross. The Gunners had to wait until the last ten minutes to seal the points, when Lotte Wubben-Moy headed home and Vivianne Miedema completed the scoring. Now six points ahead of third-placed Hoffenheim, Arsenal next host Barcelona on 9 December in an 8pm kick off.
Barcelona won 5-0 in Hoffenheim to reach the quarter-finals but only an Alexia Putellas penalty separated the sides at the break after after she had been brought down in the box. Irene Paredes doubled the lead when heading home from a corner before, Aitana Bonmatí swept home a cross from Fridolina Rolfö, with late goals added by Marta Torrejón and Ana-Maria Crnogorčević.
Bayern Münich cut Lyon’s lead to two points when defeating the former champions with a second-half goal. Saki Kumagai headed in a corner by Carolin Simon against her former side to deny their progress, at least for the time being.
Benfica won away to Häcken with a stoppage-time goal to leapfrog them in the group table. Cloé Lacasse’s early opener for the visitors was cancelled out in the last quarter of the match by a Elin Rubensson penalty, before Catarina Amado finished from Francisca Nazareth’s free-kick.
