FAWPL side Stevenage overcame Eastern Regional League Division 1 South opponents Hoddesdon Town Owls 8-0 at Letchworth on Sunday 11th March, to retain the Hertfordshire FA Women’s Cup.
Donna McGuigan hit the crossbar for the favourites, before Amy Makewell opened the scoring on 17 minutes.
Makewell soon grabbed her second, moments after a great save by Owls goalkeeper Casey Herrick.
Chloe Gunn then also scored a first-half brace, one from a 25-yard free-kick.
Ashleigh Deacon was next to score twice in the space of just a few minutes, to take Stevenage’s lead to 6-0.
Makewell went one better by completing her hat-trick and Leah Littlechild rifled in the final goal.
