Spartans pulled off a shock in the Sky Sports Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup quarter-finals by pipping Celtic on penalties.

Celtic took the lead against Spartans when Clarissa Larisey was played in by Jacynta, only for the latter to be sent off before the break for dissent. The Hoops’ ten almost held out but in stoppage-time Hannah Jordan set up a tap-in for Louise Mason. Celtic hit the post in extra-time and when it came down to a shoot-out, Robyn McCafferty decided it for Spartans.
Rangers put five past Motherwell, as Emma Watson’s first-half effort was added to by braces from Kirsty Howat and Lisa Martinez.
Hibernian hit eight goals past hosts Kilmarnock, with a couple each from Crystal Thomas, Nor Mustafa and Rosie Livingstone.
Jenna Clark netted three times, Lauren Davidson and Sarah Gibb twice each in helping Glasgow City coast through 9-0 at Glasgow Women.
