Following on from Saturday evening’s 3-1 victory over their Welsh hosts, Scottish Schools also won on Monday morning, by three goals to one at Cefn Druids FC.

In a close match, the visitors went in front with a quick breakaway goal, Olivia Potter scoring despite a bright start from Wales.

It was 2-0 early in the second half, as Bayley Hutchinson struck from outside the box and into the far corner of the net.

Mary McAteer hit the side-netting from a difficult angle as the hosts went close to an immediate reply.

But Scotland got a third goal with Hutchinson on target again, doing well to beat the defence and slot coolly beyond the goalkeeper.

Both sides will be competing in the annual Bob Docherty Cup next month, which this year is being staged in Belfast.
