Cheshunt, Chester and Merseyrail were all winners in Women’s Regional League top of the table clashes.
EASTERN – Cheshunt win top-two clash
Premier – Royston Town went second with a 4-1 result at Haringey Borough, Colney Heath went level on points with Wroxham whom they beat 2-1 away with a Terri Harvey second-half goal.
1 North – Needham Market went clear at the top with an 8-0 victory at Haverhill Rovers, who had Catherine Upton sent-off. Biggleswade United leapfrogged Newmarket Town into second after defeating them 2-0 away, Cambridge City DS drew 1-1 with Whittlesey Athletic.
1 South – Cheshunt won the top of the table clash with Leigh Ramblers 2-0 to go within a point of them, Frances Gamble and Charlotte Grogan their scorers. Barking climbed to fourth by thrashing East Bergholt United 9-2, substitute Laura Bunton and Sarah Rivers each netting a hat-trick.
EAST MIDLANDS – Grimsby derby ends goalless
Premier – Chesterfield beat Rise Park 5-0 to go level on points with leaders Northampton Town, Oughtibridge WM ran out 10-1 winners at Leicester City Ladies.
1 North – Grimsby Town dropped their first points when held to a goalless draw at home by Grimsby Borough. Arnold Eagles won 4-1 at Notts County DS with an Amy Gauvrit treble, Nottingham Trent University seven goals against Cleethorpes Town included three from Ellie McKeegan and SJR Worksop’s Elizabeth Harris scored an 83rd-minute winner at Sleaford Town.
1 South – Derby County Academy still lead on goal-difference after putting nine past Loughborough Foxes Vixens, three of those from Marli Rhodes-Andrews. Anstey Nomads took second spot from Oadby & Wigston, abruptly ending their perfect start with five unanswered goals. Thrapston Town’s 8-2 defeat of Peterborough United Reserves featured Emma Robinson’s first-half hat-trick, Nottingham Forest DS sank hosts Coalville Town 7-1.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – New London Lionesses edge seven-goal thriller
Premier – New London Lionesses went second when edging hosts Denham United 4-3, Dartford rose to third after defeating Saltdean United 6-2, while Dulwich Hamlet won 5-0 at Whyteleafe where Anna Jowle was on target three times.
1 North – The meeting of second and third finished 2-2 as Dulwich Hamlet Reserves drew with Brentford, Walton Casuals’ 6-1 win over Victoire saw Brooke Garcia score three times, Watford DS were 4-0 winners at Clapham United.
1 South – Ashford Ladies advanced to second after their 7-1 success at Meridian, Welling United went above Newhaven whom they hit 8-2 with the aid of a Grace Laverick treble, Parkwood Rangers defeated Maidstone United 2-0.
NORTH EAST – Late goal sends Boro Rangers top
Premier – Three Ossett United substitutes scored in the 4-0 win over Sunderland West End, which lifted them above their visitors and into fourth spot. Redcar Town’s Jessica Round scored three times in the first half-hour in defeating Wallsend BC 5-1, leaders York City netted 14 times against basement side Sheffield Wednesday.
1 North – Boro Rangers took over at the top with a 3-2 win against Spennymoor Town, as Jade Danks got her second goal of the game in the penultimate minute. Chester le Street United sit second following an 8-1 scoreline over Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves, Washington came from 3-2 down at the break to win 4-3 at Bishop Auckland. Other results; Wallsend BC Reserves 11-0 Prudhoe Town, West Allotment Celtic 5-2 Guisborough Town.
1 South – Wakefield Trinity U-23s downed Bradford Park Avenue 5-3 as substitute Orlane N’Cho got two of their goals, Farsley Celtic Juniors shared six goals with Millmoor whose Abby Watkinson netted twice.
NORTH WEST – Merseyrail win title ‘six-pointer’
Premier – Merseyrail opened up a five-point lead over second-placed Tranmere having beaten Rovers 3-1.
1 North – Blackpool regained the leadership after a 4-1 result at Accrington Stanley, Chorley DS jumped over hosts Workington Reds whom they beat 3-2, Carlisle United got off the mark with the only goal in the basement battle with Morecambe Reserves.
1 South – Chester won the clash of the leading pair 2-0 over Warrington Wolves to move three points ahead, Curzon Ashton sent third-placed Northwich Vixens to a 3-0 reverse. West Kirby 0-4 Wythenshawe Amateurs’ first win came 4-0 at West Kirby, Alder had a narrow 2-1 win over Didsbury, Hindley hit Runcorn Linnets for six, while Altrincham versus Mersey Valley was abandoned.
SOUTHERN – Moneyfields move back into first place
Premier – Moneyfields regained top spot by beating Winchester City Flyers 6-0, while Wycombe Wanderers banked a first win 3-0 at Oxford City.
Division 1 – AFC Bournemouth DS extended their lead with a 4-1 in at Milton United, Woking scored both goals of the game against Eversley & California to go fourth.
SOUTH WEST – Wootton Bassett sit second
Premier – Royal Wootton Bassett Town are second after Poppy Wannell got all their goals in a 3-2 win at Bishops Lydeard. Forest Green Rovers climbed above Marine Academy Plymouth after hitting them for six including a treble by Hattie Jones, Middlezoy Rovers’ Chloe Snook scored three as they netted six in the second half to beat Bideford 7-1.
1 East – Keynsham Town Reserves became new leaders with a 5-1 win at Frome Town, AEK Boco picked up a first win as Lucy Atkinson scored the only goal at Paulton Rovers.
1 North – Bristol Rovers beat Weston Super Mare 4-0 for a ninth straight win, Almondsbury edged Bristol Ladies Union with an Emma Summerill effort and Cheltenham Town DS won for the first time 3-1 at Weston Mendip.
1 West – Feniton defeated leaders Plymouth Argyle U-23s 3-1 with Brittany Harris and Megan Williams among the goals.
WEST MIDLANDS – Six-goal Solihull Sporting hit summit
Premier – Crusaders’ Rachael Dyson game them the points at Coventry Sphinx to go fourth, Kidderminster Harriers beat Redditch United 8-2 as Dani Selmes netted three times, Tamworth won 5-2 at Coundon Court and Worcester City came through 2-1 at City of Stoke.
1 North – Port Vale sub Tara Harrison scored in a 1-1 draw with Darlaston Town that put them third, a Maja Szymkowiak hat-trick saw Walsall beat Coventry City 3-1, Sandwell sent hosts Wyrley to a 6-1 loss.
1 South – Solihull Sporting’s 6-1 success at Cookley Sports put them into pole position on goal-difference, Kingfisher won 5-1 at Rugby Town, Sedgley & Gornal United defeated Droitwich Spa 3-0 and Westfields held Leamington Lions 1-1.
