Birmingham City Women’s defender Rebecca Holloway has completed a transfer to NWSL side Racing Louisville.

The Northern Ireland international joins the National Women’s Soccer League side for an undisclosed fee, having been with the Blues since 2019.

Joining from Nashville Rhythm in the Women’s Premier Soccer League, Holloway initially put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with Birmingham and has since gone on to make 65 appearances for Blues.

The 26-year-old made her debut against Everton at the start of the 2019/20 season and made her final appearance for the club at St. Andrew’s against West Ham United in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League in March.

She has become an established left-back in her three years at the club and that has seen her gain deserved recognition on the international stage, helping her country to qualify for their first major tournament.
