Rangers beat Hearts to go level on points with ScottishPower Women’s Premier League leaders Celtic, who drew 2-2 with third-placed Glasgow City.

Aberdeen 3-3 Montrose
Celtic 2-2 Glasgow City
Partick Thistle 3-2 Hibernian
Rangers 3-0 Hearts
Motherwell 4-2 Spartans

Celtic and Glasgow City shared the points at Airdrie. Hayley Lauder had City ahead just four minutes in but an own-goal from keeper Lee Gibson after a Caitlin Hayes shot came back off the post levelled the scores. Hayes then had the Hoops 2-1 up in first-half added time but Charlotte Wardlaw’s effort before the hour mark drew the match.

Rangers led against Hearts from Chelsea Cornet’s deflected volley, before sealing the points with two more goals in the last 16 minutes by Lizzie Arnott and Libby Bance.

Partick Thistle are just a point short of fifth-placed Hibernian, following their 3-2 victory over them. Hibs went ahead in first-half added time when a Naomi Powell effort went in off goalkeeper Megan Cunningham, only for Carla Boyce to equalise immediately. Goals midway through the second half by Imogen Longcake and a second for Boyce put Thistle in command, Jorian Baucom’s reply for the visitors coming too late.

Motherwell’s 4-2 defeat of Spartans put them within three points of Aberdeen in seventh, as Rangers’ loanee Laura Berry (16) converted two first-half penalties. Hannah Jordan had levelled but Louisa Boyes soon restored the advantage. Alana Marshall gave Spartans hope with a goal in the latter stages, Kayla Jardine quickly giving the hosts back their two-goal cushion.

Aberdeen shared six goals with Montrose in front of a crowd of 1,750 at Pittodrie. The Dons twice led through Francesca Ogilvie and Hannah Innes, Tammy-Lee Harkin equalising on both occasions, the second of which came in first-half added time. Cassie Cowper had the visitors ahead for the first time, before Bayley Hutchison completed the scoring for the hosts just shy of the hour mark.
