Portsmouth have signed 24-year-old forward Megan Hornby on a contract until summer 2026 following her departure from Blackburn Rovers.

She made more than 50 appearances during her second spell with Rovers, having rejoined them from Manchester United U-21s.

Last season she scored seven goals and was credited with five assists from 18 games.

Boss Jay Sadler told portsmouthfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to welcome Megan to Portsmouth. She’s a talented player and someone who stood out following an incredible season last term.

“We’ve had plenty of positive conversations over the off-season and it was her hunger and desire for personal and collective success that stood out most.

“She knows what this league is about – you have to fight to get what you want. We believe she has everything needed to fit into our way and will not only make us better now, but also in the future.”
