Northern Ireland senior women’s manager Kenny Shiels has signed a two-year contract extension.
Shiels, who helped guide the team to their first ever major tournament earlier this month with a memorable two-legged win over Ukraine to secure a spot at next summer’s UEFA Women’s Euros in England, is ready to build on the success.
“I’m delighted with this development and thankful to the Irish FA for making this happen,” Shiels told irishfa.com.
“The success of the women’s senior team has added to the interest in the women’s game from the grassroots level up. My job is to continue to build on the momentum we have generated and prepare for next summer’s Euros.”
