Manorcroft United complete league title-winning first season

Manorcroft United finished their debut campaign as champions and with a 100% league record after a 5-2 win over Hersham.

Sunday’s victory saw the Egham Wick-based side finish as South East Counties League Surrey Division 1 North champions by a margin of 11 points, ahead of second-placed Molesey Athletic.

Lillie Palmer scored twice in the win over Hersham, Edith Schofield also bagging a brace and fellow substitute Tallulah Smither netting the other goal.

They did bow out of the Surrey Divisional Cup in the second round though, despite having been 2-1 up at half time away to Oxted & District.

The league has Sevenoaks Town crowned as Premier Division champions, while Oxted & District look set to beat Ash United to the Surrey Division 1 South title.

The competition also includes as many as six Kent divisions, Hollands & Blair leading Division 1 East from Deal Town and a well-placed Park Regis, Glebe top in the West ahead of Petts Wood and Long Lane who have games in hand.

threatened by Sittingbourne, Larkfield are champions elect in 2 Mid West and Foots Cray Lionesses goal difference in front of Crayford Arrows in Kent Division 2 West.
