London City Lionesses’ latest two signings are Lucy Shepherd from Washington Spirit and Lois Heuchan, recently of Charlton Athletic.
Shepherd helped Aston Villa to the FA Girls’ Youth Cup Final, before joining Hofstra University in America, getting capped by England at U-19 level, then selected by Washington Spirit in the 2022 NWSL College Draft.
Shepherd told londoncitylionesses.com: “This is a great club with really good ambitions for the season, I hope I can help the club achieve them.
“With this season it’s all going to be about taking one game at a time and building that momentum to hopefully take us to a title.”

Melissa Phillips, Head Coach of London City Lionesses, said of the signing: “Lucy is a fantastic addition to the squad.
“She is dynamic with both feet, has the pace and athleticism to constantly threaten opposition back lines and a real determination to make her mark back in England.”
Scotland youth international defender Heuchan, who played two seasons for the Addicks, said of her move: “It’s really exciting to have joined the team and I just can’t wait to get going.
“I came to this club to get as much game time as possible and do what I can to help this time be a success.”
Phillips added: “Lois is a person of tremendous character who we are excited to have on board at London City.
“She is a true defender, but has the technical quality to contribute in a very key position on both sides of the ball.”
