Kayla Rendell receives first England senior squad call-up

Southampton’s Kayla Rendell has been called up to the England squad for the first time for the upcoming UEFA Women’s EURO Qualifying fixtures.

The goalkeeper replaces Khiara Keating, who has returned to Manchester City as she continues to manage discomfort with her knee.

England are in action tomorrow [Friday 5 April] against Sweden at Wembley Stadium connected by EE. The Lionesses will then travel to Dublin to play the Republic of Ireland away in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday 9 April.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City’s Neve Herron has been called up to the England WU23s squad, the defender replaces Mia Ross who has withdrawn.

Emma Coates’ side face Sweden this evening (Thursday 4 April) at New Bucks Head Stadium in Telford.
